Disney World’s Minnie Van Service is one of the many transportation options at the parks. While others are free, the Minnie Van Service does have a fee associated with it. The vans offer private transportation, as opposed to the public buses and monorail.

The Minnie Van Service can be booked through the Lyft app. Pick up wait times are short, often 10-15 minutes, so don’t worry about booking a pick up too far in advance. Here’s how to make a pick up reservation:

  • Download the Lyft app to your smartphone
  • Open the app anywhere on Disney World property
  • Select the Minnie Van service option
  • Confirm your current pick up location
  • Enter your destination request and click “confirm”

You’ll be able to pay (and tip) right from the app. The current pricing (as of January 1, 2019) for the service is a flat $15 pick up fee plus $2.75 per mile.

My favorite part of this service is the Disney driver. They make great small talk and are full of fun Disney facts. We learned a lot about what is coming to the parks over the next few years from our driver in January 2018. He was funny, full of knowledge and a great driver.

My husband, Alex, and I used the Minnie Van service to get from Disney’s Boardwalk Resort to Disney’ Grand Floridian Resort where we enjoyed Afternoon Tea.

Disney’s Minnie Van Service can now (as of Fall 2019) also be booked as your transportation to or from the airport! Just call 407-WDW-PLAY with your flight information to book your Minnie Van shuttle! Each Minnie Van accommodates up to 6 guests with up to 3 complimentary car seats. The cost one way between the Orlando International Airport and any resort on Disney property is $150.
